Eight amazing artists have given new illustrations to the the traditional English card game "We Are A Happy Family," making this little game quite adorable. Here is how Pintame el Dia came up with this idea and why:
"The
idea of making a card game
popped into my mind last
Christmas when I sought
creative toys for my daughters. At the time I witnessed how they played with a
card game, of the happy families
kind, who had awful pictures from a Harry Potter movie. I
like Harry Potter books,
but this card game was not attractive in any manner. So I thought about
making them a card game myself, so at least they would have something a
little more pleasant to their eyes.
A little
later i thought of involving a few artists with whom, through the years,
I had created a very strong artistic bond. Most are
professionals, live from their creations/designs/drawings /illustrations/pictures, so I was afraid they wouldn't be
interested. However, their response was
overwhelming! In a flash I had a group of eight international
artists, each designing a family of four cards. Of course, this
makes it a very special and unique game, where each family is easily
recognizable by the personal style of each artist."
